De-duplication of Marketing Prospects

Hi,

I am new to the area of Marketing prospects in SAP CRM and would appreciate any help on the below:

We have a requirement of performing duplicate check on marketing prospects against existing marketing prospects based on a few fields. I understand that SAP Data Services can be used to perform de-duplication check for BPs vs BPs. However, in our case it is Marketing prospects vs Marketing Prospects.

• Is it possible to use SAP Data Services to perform duplicate check on Marketing prospects vs Marketing prospects?
• What does the ELM duplicate check step do for Marketing prospects?
