I am working on a TPM project and need your help to understand the following:
I understand that for Short term promotion we have campaign determination condition being generated and transferred to ECC while this is not the case for Long term promotion. Also when the sales order is created the campaign determination procedure is called and then the pricing and free goods determination procedure is called. I have done the set-up/configuration for Long term and short term in our client system and is working fine. But...
Can you please help me understand why campaign determination is applicable for Short term promotion only and not for Long term? Is campaign determination used for any other purposed in ECC?
System doesn’t stop me from creating a Long term trade promotion for a period of several weeks or Short term promotion from a period of several months to one year.
